Belgian culture involves both the aspects shared by all Belgians regardless of the language they speak, and the differences between the main cultural communities: the Dutch-speaking Flemish and the French-speakers Walloons. Most Belgians view their culture as an integral part of European culture.
However, members of each of the two main linguistic groups generally make their cultural choices from within their own community, and then, when going beyond, the Flemish draw intensively from both the English-speaking culture(which dominates sciences, professional life and most news media) and the Netherlands, whereas French-speakers focus on cultural life in France and elsewhere in the French-speaking world, and less outside.
Belgian ethnic minorities, such as the Jews who have formed a component of Flemish culture – in particular that of Antwerp – for over five hundred years, have different cultures. Different cultures make this country a unique one. Festivals generated from different cultures will fulfill your life there and Belgian beers are also something you would look forward to.

Customs and quarantine procedures
Customs in Belgium are relatively easy going. They usually would not physically inspect your goods which is why the customs clearance takes relatively shorter time than most of the countries. However, increasing terrorism risks in Belgium and rest of the Europe may force the customs authorities to reinforce the customs process. As such, more and more inspection would be expected and there would additional costs associated with the customs inspections.
